The Hidden Truth

You haven't seen the real me,

Just a shadow of what I could be.

My deepest thoughts and emotions are hidden inside,

I fear your opinions so instead I hide.

My thoughts and emotions I keep locked up,

I'm afraid to give you the key,

What if you laugh at me?

I pretend I don't care when inside I cry,

My life if a lie.

No-one knows what it's like to be me,

Come inside and set me free.
